A Chilly February Reading Update

I thought I would give a little reading update today. Mostly, I haven’t been reading much at all. I’m barely even reading a chapter a night. The last of January and the start of February has been crazy.

In January, I received the call that the small church that I have attended most of my life burned down. That day was devastating to my church family. Our little white church in the middle of the woods was gone. Luckily, I have an incredible church family and we quickly realized that the church isn’t the building. We are continuing to meet in our fellowship hall, which was thankfully spared. Now we’re in the processes of rebuilding. There are a ton of decisions to make and a ton of work days ahead, but through God we have hope.

I also have several decisions to make about the future of this blog. I’m saying a lot of prayers. They are exciting decisions full of growth, but there is going to be a lot of work involved on my end. I’m so excited for the future of the blog. I hope ya’ll stick around to see that announcement.

So January and February have been heartbreaking months, but they are also full of growth. Unfortunately, it’s been eating away at my reading time. I’ve started Kingdom of the Wicked, which I’m enjoying, but I’ve not dedicated enough time to reading. So technically, this should be a lack of reading update. I’m hoping that I will get to spend some time reading it this weekend. What are you guys reading right now? Let me know in the comments.
