It’s been a minute since I’ve done a book haul. My birthday was January 11th and I might have treated myself to some of the books that I’ve been wanting. I bought some of these at Books-a-Million and some at Thrift Books. I’m buying used when I can, but since some of these are new releases I obviously had to buy new copies. Check out the books I’ve bought!
I’ve wanted to read The Body for a long time. One of my favorite movies, Stand By Me, was adapted from this. I’ve wanted to read this ever since I watched the movie. I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to buy it.
The Devil All the Time
Everyone raved about The Devil All the Time in October. I had to get my hands on a copy, but again I just kept putting it off. I’m glad to finally add it to my collection.
A Deadly Education
I picked Deadly Education up on a whim. I’ve heard some mixed reviews about it, but it sounds like something I would love. I’ve never finished anything by Naomi Novick. I started Uprooted a couple summers back, but put it down. I’m hoping I won’t do the same with this.
From Blood and Ash
I had to get From Blood and Ash to see what all the hype is about. I’ve heard some people say that it’s even better than A Court of Thorns and Roses. With a claim like that I just had to buy it.
Kingdom of the Wicked
Kingdom of the Wicked is another one that I’ve procrastinated. The synopsis hooked me in from the beginning. I’ve finally added it to my shelf, so maybe soon I will pick it up.
I’ve fallen back in love with Stephen King. I love having them on my shelf. I can always fall back to them when I’m in a slump. I think Misery is a staple that belongs in every King collection. I purchase it used from Thrift Books, because I love used King books. It hasn’t made it in the mail, but hopefully it will soon.
So those are all the books I’ve bought. It felt good to add a few more to my collection. I think they will keep me busy for a while. What books have you bought recently?
