The Enchantment Lake Series Review

In November, I will be participating in the blog tour for The Silver Box. The Silver Box is book three in the Enchantment Lake Series. I read book one and two to get caught up in the series, and I really have enjoyed them. They are middle grade, so it’s a little different from what I’m used to. But they have been so fun.

Enchantment Lake

Seventeen year old, Francie received a disturbing call from her aunts that live in a secluded cabin in Minnesota. Francie left her home in New York to come to help them. When she gets there she discovers that something ominous is taking place in town. Will she be able to figure it out before it is too late?

Enchantment Lake was a lot of fun. It was definitely whimsical though. It didn’t seem quite as serious as it should have been. I was also confused as to why everyone believed that a seventeen year old was a detective. Look past those little bumps the mystery was well thought out. If you liked Nancy Drew I think you would like these.

My Rating: 3/5

The Clue in the Trees

Francie is back in Enchantment Lake looking for answers to her past. Yet again she is dragged into a murder case, and this time she is in danger as well. With the return of her long-lost brother, Francie’s world is turned upside down.

I loved The Clue in the Trees. The plot was more developed and there was a lot more suspense. The mystery was well developed. It was even better than Enchantment Lake.

My Rating: 4/5

I have really enjoyed this series so far. Don’t forget to come back November 14th for my review on The Silver Box!
