The Halloween Book Tag

Happy Sunday! Today I thought I would do The Halloween Book Tag. This tag has been floating around Youtube for years. I am not sure who started it, but I saw it on Bookable’s channel. I thought it was fun, so I decided to do it. It’s a fun way to get into the spooky season.

Carving Pumpkins-What book would you carve up and light on fire?

This was so easy. I would light The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben on fire. I was so disappointed by this one. So far, I think it’s the worst book that I have read all year. I could go on a tangent, but to save time check out my review to see why I hated it.

Trick or Treat- What character is a treat? What character is a trick?

Treat: Mr. Kindly from The Nevernight Chronicles. I love him. He is a shadow cat that follows Mia around. He is so sarcastic, and just so much fun. I started reading this series specifically to meet him.

Trick: Mia from The Nevernight Chronicles. Ok, I’m sure you guys can tell that I’m obsessed with this series at the moment. Anyhow, you never know what you get with Mia. She is always plotting and scheming. I adore that about her. She is always tricking people, including the reader.

Candy Corn- What book is always sweet?

Pumpkinheads. It’s such a cute graphic novel for this time of year. It has all the fall things that you could ever want. Including a lot of actual sweets. This book will make you hungry.

Ghosts- What character would you love to visit you as a ghost?

Lord Cassius from The Nevernight Chronicles. I know I’ve used so many answers from this series already, but I just finished Godsgrave today and I am obsessed. He is just an aloof character. He is mentioned in the book a lot, but we don’t actually know a lot about him. Well, at least not yet anyway. There are a lot of questions that I would like to ask him.

Dressing Up in a Costume- What character would you want to be for a day?

Rebecca from The Winter Sisters. She is an herbal healer who has the most wonderful garden. I would love to experience that for a day.

Wizard and Witches- What is your favorite Harry Potter moment?

Christmas at Hogwarts for sure.

Blood and Gore- What book was so creepy that you had to take a break from it?

Hex. I didn’t love Hex as much as I hoped, but it was really creepy.

So that was The Halloween Book Tag. If you want to play along I tag you. Just let me know if you play! I’d love to see your answers.
